Viva
a Vida offered a drug treatment programme for street children and
low-income adolescents until October 2009 when it was the ONLY residential
drug rehabilitation centre for adolescents in the region. Unfortunately,
the global financial crisis hit our small charity and dwindling
funds meant that we had to make the tough decision to close down
the treatment centre and concentrate our funding to continue running
our aftercare mentoring and support service and our prevention in
schools project.
Please
read our 2008 booklet in pdf
format to learn more about Viva a Vida's drug rehabilitation programme
and why it was so important.
